Presentation of the Public Workforce Performance and Prosperity Report
The World Bank’s Public Workforce Performance and Prosperity report brings new data and analytical tools to the study of public administration, focusing on how to make the world’s 400 million public sector workers more effective in carrying out core government functions and delivering better development outcomes. The report draws on the largest cross-national datasets on public sector employment, wages, and management practices in the world.
The World Bank Group Institute for Economic Development, in partnership with the Research Center for European Analytics and Policy at LUISS University, organized a special presentation of the report. The event explored the report’s key findings and their implications for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners working to strengthen public sector performance in a context of rising demands and constrained resources.
