Skills, Jobs, and Labor Market Change
Drawing on decades of research, Nobel laureate Professor David Card delivered the AGORA 26 keynote presentation on what modern labor economics has taught us about how labor markets work, how skills and opportunities are shaped, and how institutions and policy affect workers and firms. The keynote offered a broad perspective on the forces behind employment, mobility, and economic opportunity.
Professor Card was introduced by Andrea Brandolini, Director General for Economics, Statistics and Research, Bank of Italy.
