Skills, Jobs, and the Path to Opportunity
This AGORA 26 session explored how growth translates into productive opportunities, better jobs, and improved worker outcomes. Drawing on the emerging framework of the World Bank’s World Development Report 2027 on jobs, the discussion brought together World Bank experience and perspectives from government and the private sector to examine what enables workers to access and progress toward better opportunities. Panelists discussed how firms foster productivity and learning, and how policies and institutions can support stronger employment trajectories and greater worker welfare.
