Aggregation Models & Coops - LEADS Initiative

The new webinar on the AgriConnect Knowledge Series: Evidence for Better Jobs in Farming and Agribusiness, Aggregation Models & Coops, developed under the World Bank’s LEADS [Learn. Adapt. Scale.] Initiative, will examine aggregation models such as the Agribusiness Leadership Program (ALP). The ALP helps small agribusinesses through training and coaching resources to strengthen supply chains, improve operations, and access new markets and financing. 

The session will analyze the role of cooperatives and producer organizations as a lever for improving smallholder farmers' market access, productivity, and bargaining power. The program will combine rigorous research evidence with direct operational experience, offering a comprehensive perspective on what works, why, and how these lessons can be translated into effective development interventions.

Speakers will provide a high-level framing that bridges academic evidence, impact evaluation, and operational practice, and explore the implications for designing future agricultural development interventions.
