Improving Jobs and Income in Agriculture: AgriConnect Knowledge Products
Creating enough productive jobs is one of today’s most urgent challenges. Agriculture is a sector which already employs millions of people and has strong potential to absorb more—but only if it can become more efficient, profitable, and market-oriented.
The Institute for Economic Development is partnering with researchers and experts to leverage evidence to create better jobs in farming and agribusiness. These efforts align with AgriConnect, a World Bank Group initiative to transform smallholder farming, create jobs, and strengthen global food security.

Agricultural insurance has the potential to help farmers manage risk, strengthen resilience to climate, and invest more confidently. Yet despite its promise, coverage remains limited in many countries. Join us to explore the role of agricultural insurance in supporting smallholder farmers and strengthening agrifood systems.
