Jobs Creation in Ghana
Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of Ghana, joined the Africa Growth and Opportunity: Research in Action (AGORA) Conference and delivered a keynote where she shared Ghana’s bold vision for economic transformation and job creation. Her speech set the stage for a future where opportunity, innovation, partnerships, and inclusion drive national progress.
Partnership must now evolve from rhetoric of assistance to the reality of shared prosperity. Africa and Europe must build together as equals, investing in innovation, technology, and creating jobs.
The keynote highlighted Ghana’s strategic pillars spanning agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, finance, women’s empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, and digital transformation, showcasing early successes such as macroeconomic stabilization and currency appreciation. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang called for global partnerships based on equality and shared prosperity, positioning Ghana and Africa as dynamic contributors to the future workforce and innovation.
